This post is a free printable coloring page of “The Joy of the Lord is my Strength” bible verse from Nehemiah 8:10.
Joy can be so elusive.
For some, it’s hard to find. For others, it is hard to keep.
In the bible, joy is listed as one of the fruits of the spirit. Which means that as believers, we can freely access joy by abiding with the Holy Spirit.
Isn’t that so uplifting to know? Especially if you’re prone to negative and anxious energy like so many of us.
In fact, when anxiety presents itself, what better way to find a sense of calm than by coloring (which tends to pull you to the present and makes you focus on the right now) a bible verse about joy.
A bible verse like this:
“Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10b (NKJV)
Todays coloring page does just that. It combines this encouraging bible verse with fun illustrations of rejoicing people.
By the time you finish filling this page with color, I hope that you feel much more happy and lighthearted than you did when you started.
What To Know About Printing Coloring Pages
The coloring page below is an 8.5″ × 11″ PDF, which makes it easy to print at home on letter sized paper.
It’s also the perfect size to trim & frame, if you should so choose. (There are plenty of affordable frames sold in the 8×10 size).
For best results, print coloring pages on a laser printer using this 110-lb cardstock paper.
(Regular copy paper is a bit too smooth & laser printers help you to avoid smudged lines & patchy color).
Or, send the file out for professional printing at Staples, Fedex, Kinkos, etc. (May require you to convert the document to a jpeg or png).
For coloring, I recommend Prismacolor Coloring Pencils for high quality, richly saturated pigment.

One thing I really like to color is people. I like deciding the color of their outfits, their skin and hair color… I just like to see them come alive. That’s part of the reason that I love this particular coloring page so much.
It’s filled with a happy and diverse bunch of people, drawn in different styles and fashions which makes it all the more fun to color them.
I hope that you enjoy the process of coloring this print and that this activity helps you to find joy.
