Who doesn’t love a compliment?

I know I do! In fact, there are compliments that I still remember today even though I got them years ago!
A sincere compliment always makes my day.

This week, I discovered a clever, fun little way to bring this happy feeling to other people’s lives.

“Free Compliments” flyers have slips of paper with compliments that people can rip off for themselves and/or pass on to someone else.

They are meant to be pinned up in a general area so that it’s easy and fun for people to take and share these kind words.

Isn’t that super fun?

When I saw it for the first time, I literally screamed “oh my God, I love that” and designed my own right away. And of course- I’ve got to share with my blog family!

Below, you will find four different Free Compliment printables- a general one for people you don’t know, one for friends and family, one for the workplace and a blank one where you can fill in your own compliments.

How to use these printables

1. Download the document(s)
2. Print as many copies as you’d like on regular 8.5 x 11 copy paper
3. Cut along the vertical dashed lines (without ripping the strips off)
4. Tape or pin the flyer up and encourage people to tear off a compliment to keep or read and pass on

This activity is perfect for –

• General goodwill around your neighborhood
• Apartment complex’s rental office or bulletin board
• Workplace
• Refrigerator or family room
• School bulletin board
• Anywhere that lets you tape flyers up

Free Compliments For Strangers

This first design is perfect for people you don’t know, because the compliments are general yet still heartwarming. This is the one that you wanna put up around your neighborhood, on a light pole, at the bus stop or on the apartment complex’s bulletin board.

For Family & Friends

This version contains compliments for people that you know personally and regularly spend time with.

I think this would be an awesome household activity for a family or a group of roommates.

Put it up on the refrigerator or in the family room and anyone can spontaneously take a compliment and give it to another member of the household, to make them smile or cheer them up!
It will be fun to find compliments tucked away in lunch boxes and things like that.

For Coworkers & Employees

This set of compliments have to do with ideas, teamwork and work ethic- perfect for a workplace bulletin board. Managers and committee heads- take note! This would make an easy morale-boosting activity or a great idea for festive times of the year (e.g. like Valentine’s Day in the workplace).
